The Tracys depart

Well today the couple we invited down has to leave. It was definitely an enhancement to our trip. It was good to have adult conversations that were more than just the two of us. Haylie had a buddy to play with as well an that was worth everything. It will be different to see them go but it seems fitting that this trip starts and ends with just the three of us.

We did our trip to the East side of the island. Always worth the expense though we spent too much on lunch. The views are spectacular. We even found the shirt we'd left them two years ago which was very cool. Colleen still believes the freshest piña colada on the island is at Rasta's.

The dinner at La Cabana del Pescador was different this year and it was because we went to what was essentially the wrong place. Seems there is some competition between the tow brothers over the menu content and the result is a second restaurant in the same space. The grill side offers more variety but less of the ambiance that made the first visit so memorable. Still the tails were awesome so other than a couple of small things I would not have changed it.

The resort has really let me down this year. Not in total, as the vacation hasn't been a disaster. But, there are more than a few little things wrong and I'll post those in another entry. Colleen and I are planning a list for checkout.
